Maya

Question:. As per Vedanta, Brahman alone is real and everything else is Maya, then how/why Brahman acquired ignorance and has to fight again to get rid of it ?

Prabhuji : Brahman is not under the influence of Maya. Maya is the power of Brahman affecting Jiva not Brahman. To understand properly Vedanta has to be studied under the guidance of a competent Master.

Question: Example, when a person likes chocolates and can’t control. As soon as he eats, he feels satisfied. Who is the one who satisfied here? And if he feels guilty of his weakness, who is the one who feels guilty?

Prabhuji : Jiva

Question : If mind is the one who thinks in both cases then what’s the Jeevatma is doing? Just observing?

Prabhuji : Jiva = Chidabhasa (consciousness identified with mind). Chidabhasa powers the mind. Mind cannot work without chidabhasa and chidabhasa cannot work without mind. It is like electricity (Chidabhasa)  and mind (fan) – combo needed.

Question: If so jeevatma does not have any power but to just see what all mind is doing and follow it?

Prabhuji : Chidabhasa powers mind and identifies with it as Jiva.

Question : Then in that case do we have to consider mind is dictating jeevatma? If so as per advaita Vedanta, mind is also not real. Brahman is real but it has no power but to silently follow mind?

Prabhuji : From Brahman point of view there is no mind. Mind is unreal.
