Liberation

Question:

Can we say that Advaita is a teaching from Brahman point of view and Dvaita is from Jiva point of view?

OR can we say that Dvaita teaching is for BMI purification purpose?

Sri Prabhuji:

Teachings are about two levels of reality – Empirical (Vyavaharika) and Absolute (Paramarhika). Dwaita teaching is leading a life of devotion (bhakti), service (karma yoga), meditation (upasana) for gradual liberation (krama mukti). Purification of heart (chitta shuddhi) and attainment of birth in higher loka (brahma loka) after death is focus of dwaita.

On the other hand focus of Advaita is Liberation (jivanmukti) while being alive and final liberation ( videha mukti ) after death.  Atmano mokshartham Jagad hitaya – selfless service for purification of heart and SELF realization through Shravana, manana, nidhidhyasa is teaching of Advaita. Focus of Advaita is total liberation while focus of dwaita is progressive liberation.
