Question: In Advaita Vedanta and according to the teachings of Ramana Maharshi, how can a person make decisions as the Self and not as the ego?

Decisions are made by intellect. Ego influences decisions before realization. After realization purified ego guides intellect. Before realization ego was identifying with the body. After realization ego is one with the SELF and it continues for only transactional purpose in the world. This is burnt ego like a burnt rope. Now the intellect works under guidance of witness – Sakshi.
