Student: Prabhuji, are all these experiences for the body-mind complex or for the Consciousness? Also, which is the one that is accumulating the Karma and waits for the karma to get manifested in current life or later lives? When Consciousness is unaffected and this body-mind-intellect is getting destroyed, then who is accumulating the Karma? For whom are the experiences?
Prabhuji: It is for the Manifest consciousness. The Absolute consciousness – awareness is not affected.
Student: Is this manifest consciousness the same as reflected consciousness also known as Chidabhasa?
Prabhuji:Yes. It(Chidabhasa) forgets that it is the Absolute Consciousness and gets immersed in experience.
Student: Is it not destroyed at death?
Prabhuji : No. It is same as Absolute Consciousness. It merges back to the Absolute. So, in your dream, you have become a Cindrella and Cindrella dies. Now, what happens to the Cinderella Consciousness? It dissolves into the Sleeping person’s (dreamer) Consciousness.
Student: But Consciousness does not accumulate memory or karma . So where is that thread which still goes on from one life to another life?
Prabhuji: The Chidabhasa identifies like how you identify when you are watching a movie. If you like the movie, then you go for the next movie.
Student: So, identification with the experiences is the cause of all karma and thus, results in re-birth?
Prabhuji: Yes.
Student: How not to be identified? Being as Sakshi?
Prabhuji: Shravana (From an Enlightened Master), Manana (Contemplate on what has been taught), Nidhidhyasa (Establish in Truth).
Prabhuji: So, Who are you?
Student: I am that “I”.
