Question: Does a person have to be eccentric to go on the spiritual path? Are all yogis and saints a little eccentric, as compared to other ordinary people?
Sri Prabhuji: We operate from different center of life.
Matter and consciousness (spirit) are two centers. Most of people operate from matter as centrer. For such people yogis and saints appear to be “eccentric”. Yogis and saints are established in consciousness center.
Those who are operating from matter as center are materialists and those who operate from consciousness center are called spiritualists.
What is “eccentric” is a viewpoint of life. For person on top of mountain the person walking on road is “below” and for person who is walking on road the person on mountain is “above”. Above and below are just view points. Similarly “eccentric” is a view point.
