Individualism

Question:

Vedanta says that we are all one; I am you and you are me sounds scary. I understand that this principle removes separation and develops love for all, yet I feel like it also removes individualism and uniqueness. Is there a balance?

Sri Prabhuji: Everything in the universe is unique. No two finger prints are alike, no two trees are alike.

We should not confuse individuality with uniqueness. Individual comes from the root word indivisible. Indivisible is the totality (wholeness). Each object and individual in the universe is unique expression of ONE reality. Spiritual journey is recognising the indivisible whole and living our individual uniqueness as expression of whole. Another example I and you are persons but both of us are one as human beings. Where is the fear when I and you are recognised as human beings.
