Question: Is causal body, karana sharira a dark space? When I asked once you told the outer space which we see is not dark, only it’s full of light, only things nothing is there to illumine, so its appearing as dark.
Sri Prabhuji :
1)Causal body or Karana Sharira is body of ignorance – Avidya. Not knowing Atma and idea that I am Body-mind-intellect is called causal body.
2) With knowledge of SELF atmajnana causal body is destroyed. Hence there is no more birth.
3)Causal body is like seed which causes tree, ignorance (causal body) gives rise to subtle body and gross body. This causes rebirth.
4)If atmajnana is there, causal body is like burnt seed. It cannot give rise to plant (new bodies).
5)Whole universe is pervaded by light of Self Atmajyoti – Awareness. Atmajyothi is non-physical – spiritual light. What we call light and darkness in outer space is physical light and darkness. There can be physical darkness in outer space but non-physical light Atmajyoti illuminates it.
Student: So, Causal body can be understood as a thought, a wrong thought? The root thought or root vasana?
Sri Prabhuji: Idea
Student: But, isn’t idea is also a thought ?
Sri Prabhuji: Idea appears as thought. Idea is seed, thought is plant. For example, I have an idea of a new painting. When I explain that to you it becomes thought.
Student: oh… an idea is subtler than a thought. Thought is the manifested….. idea is not yet manifested.
Sri Prabhuji: Yes
Student: But if I get an idea in my mind , it is a thought only… ?
Sri Prabhuji: Yes. Idea is abstract thought. Thought is concrete idea.
