Spiritual seekers are often fascinated by stories of miracles. Many of these stories are metaphorical not factual. One such story is about walking on water. Metaphorically water represents life. Because of the spell of maya, people go through turbulence life and sink when they try to cross the river of life. Enlightened one metaphorically can walk on water and cross the river of life unaffected. Metaphorically the life of enlightened one is described as miracle of walking on water.
