SELF is eternally free. There is no birth and death for SELF. Self “appears” to be born due to superimposition of body and mind by the ego.
Due to identification with ego ignorant people live in prison called mind and suffer(samsara).
Ignorant people are born free but due live in prison and die in prison of mind only to be reborn.
Wise one is born free, lives in freedom (jivan mukti) dropping the ignorance and die free (videha mukta).
