In general there are two paths in spiritual life – that of mystics (yoga) and gnostics(jnana).
Mystic (Yogi) seeks experiential
with Higher SELF through various techniques. On the other hand Gnostic(jnani) tried to get rid of false beliefs knowing very well there cannot be any seperation between Higher (Paramathma)and lower self (Jivatma). A wave can never be seperate from water. Wave can believe that I am seperate from water.
