In spiritual journey the guidance of Enlightened Master (Sadguru) is invaluable. One who is established in SELF (Brahma Nishta) and has ability to teach the wisdom of Vedanta (shrotriya) is called Sadguru.
A deep transformation happens in the disciple in the presence of Sadguru. Sadguru speaks from the depth of consciousness (SOUL- Paramatma) and he/she addresses the essence of consciousness (soul – jivatma) of the disciple (shishya). This is the communication from the supreme SOUL to individual soul.
In this communication a deep transformation happens within the disciple. Soul of the disciple experiences the SOUL due to transmission of wisdom in a process known as communion (deeksha). Communication + Union is communion. Teaching of Master the is communication. The presence of Master is union.
Unlike any mundane teaching which is communication from one mind to other mind, Spiritual teaching is SOUL to soul.
