Destiny is shaped by past actions, and what is destined will inevitably occur. Free will (Purushartha) offers limited choice in the present to face destiny’s effects and influence the future. Mild destiny (laghu prarabdha) can be changed easily, while moderate destiny (madhyama prarabdha) requires effort. Heavy destiny (tivra prarabdha) is unchangeable and must be accepted as the result of past karma, meant to teach lessons and foster personal growth.
