SELF (Atma) is never born hence there is no rebirth for SELF.
Body is made up of physical matter. There is no concept of birth and death for body.
It is the mind which projects new physical body after death. Just like mind projects a dream body in our dreams, mind projects a new body after dropping old body.
There is nothinhg (no object) called mind. Mind is flow of thoughts – mind stream.
Hence there is no rebirth to anybody ! It is the projection of mind-stream creates illusion of birth-rebirth.
Mind alone is caused of bondage and liberation ( Mana Eva…Amritabindu Upanishad)
