A sense of superiority prevails when one feels pity on others. Pity can lead to charity.
When there is a feeling that I am better, sympathy is felt for others. Sympathy may not involve action. That is why lip sympathy word is used often.
Empathy is feeling the emotion of equals. In empathy there is resonance with the others.
But compassion is possible when there are no others. Compassion springs out of love. True love is possible when SELF is seen in others. Compassion alone leads to true service.Sri Prabhuji
