In sanskrit a sage is called Rishi. Sage is free from the “cage” of Maya the cosmic illusion. Sage has realized the Truth (Satyam) as the essence of life (aham brahmasmi -I AM THAT). He experiences ONE immanent Reality functioning in the cosmos ( Sarvam Khalvidam Brahma – all this is Brahman). The harmony in the universe is called Ritam in sanskrit. English word rhythm has root in sanskrit word Ritam. Enlightened Sage (Rishi) is in tune with cosmic rhythms that is why the consciousness of sage (Rishi) is called Ritam bhara prajna ( Wisdom of cosmic rhythms). Hence actions of sage are harmonious and in tune with the cosmic law Dharma.
