Knowledge of Spiritualiy can be acquired from books, Television or internet. However spiritual life is not about acquiriing or accumulating knowledge. It is about wisdom – application of knowledge for facing life. A realized Master (Sadguru) is invaluable in the spiritual journey for gaining the wisdom
In the presence of living Master (Sadguru), the subtle teahings of spirituality – love, compassion, selfless service come alive. Sadguru is living book of Truth. Because of this reason Spiritual Teachings insist on guidance from living Master. One who follows the life of living Master is called shishya.
On the other hand a Teacher teaches subject matter which can be learnt from any medial like book or TV. Life of teaher is not important for student. It is the knowledge which matters.
Information can come from books. Inner transformation and Transcendence happens in the presence of Living Master.
