Great Awakening

Buddha is considered as awakened One. Spiritual journey is process of awakening from dream called Maya. In Maya (dream) called life we have a illusory sense of individuality due to which there is suffering from false sense of seperation (subject-object duality). Spiritual awakening means waking up to Reality of non-duality dropping all illusions about life.

Flowering of wisdom (prajna) is called awakening. Experiences in life, insight into nature of life can all lead to “aha” moments of awakening.
These “aha” moments are called “satori” in Buddhism.

Each awakening into nature of Self, nature of word helps in dropping false beliefs and illusions about nature of reality.

Typically spiritual journey involves many small awakenings leading to great awakening – enlightenment/liberation when subject object duality is completely transcended. This is called Nirvana/moksha.
